How to Volunteer
We are constantly on the lookout for people who would like to volunteer to help our athletes and teams in various capacities. From team managers to assistants and just do anything helpers.
All our volunteers are DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked and cleared before taking on any duties and must also be SAM (Special Olympics Member) registered with Special Olympics GB.
If you have a request for some specific information to be made available here then send us a message and we will reply to you as soon as possible
Process
It is assumed that the volunteer has been in contact with the group who they will be volunteering for, has identified and agreed what role(s) they will be fulfilling and been supplied with the following registration forms to read and complete:
V1 – Volunteer Registration – this form is used to capture relevant personal and contact details, and includes names of two referees. V5 – Volunteer Code of Conduct –This sets out the Code by which all Special Olympics Volunteers must agree to observe. V6 – Volunteer Monitoring Form – This form is not mandatory and the information requested is not recorded against the individual volunteers register entry.
