New Athletes

At Special Olympics City of York, our mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual (learning disabilities), giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of skills, gifts and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

If you have not talked to someone about becoming an Athlete and would like to know more to get started and what sports are available, please contact us through the link at the top of the page and a representative will contact you.
