Corporate Support Opportunities

Support the 45 strong City of York team of athletes , coaches and personal supporters who will be competing as part of the 354 strong Yorkshire and Humberside team at the 2017 National Summer Games to be held in Sheffield 7 -12 August 2017.

It costs £400 to support each individual and we are hoping to generate half of the £18,000 required through support from the wider business community in York.

Bronze Award £200 – will cover half the cost of one of the team.

Silver Award £400 – will cover the full cost of one of the team

Gold Award £500 and over – will cover the full cost of one of the team and additionally contribute to supporting the development of one of our clubs or athletes of your choice –eg introducing a new sport to our offerings, purchase of new equipment or kit for the athletes, sponsorship of local or regional events or team – please speak to us to work out the best mutual opportunity.

What do you get from it?

Acknowledgement of your support on our website and face book pages. Acknowledgement/ photo opportunity for Press release – awards presentations for sponsored events.

We can visit your workplace / network group and one of our athletes will share with your employees/members what your support means to them.

Sponsorship /logo on club training and local/regional event kit for Gold supporters. (please note Regional /National event kit is subject to separate negotiation).

The satisfaction of knowing your contribution has made a difference to the quality of life of someone with intellectual disability – Special Olympics City of York offers unique opportunities for companies wishing to align with a charity who uses sport to promote social inclusion, better health and the development of confidence and personal skills for a key group of children and adults in the York and surrounding area.

About Us

We are made up of local athletes with learning disabilities, parents of athletes, and other volunteers who all want to make a difference.

We are primarily responsible for organising, promoting and running regular training sessions and supporting young people and adults with learning disabilities. This enables them to compete at their level in local, regional and national competitions.
