Accredited Partner Organisations

Our sports coaching and training in City of York is delivered by accredited partner organisations. Special Olympics City of York ask each accredited organisation to provide proof of coaching qualification/experience, safeguarding and welfare understanding and first aid provision. Insurance for Special Olympics athletes is provided by Special Olympics GB once properly accredited. If you are interested in providing sports coaching and competition as a partner organisation please let us know.

About Us

We are made up of local athletes with learning disabilities, parents of athletes, and other volunteers who all want to make a difference.

We are primarily responsible for organising, promoting and running regular training sessions and supporting young people and adults with learning disabilities. This enables them to compete at their level in local, regional and national competitions.
